How do you install a CD player in a 1997 Ford Ranger?
Go to www.crutchfield.com. When you purchase an in-dash CD receiver from them, they will include easy to follow instructions on how to remove the old in-dash unit and install the new one. They will also sell you a wiring harness that will connect to the factory wiring, making it really easy to install. You can input your particular make/model and see which receivers will fit your truck. I have purchased 3 or 4 from them and have been pleased with the results every time, and I am not particularly talented in this area, so I’m sure you won’t have any problems either. Hope this helps.
