How Do You Install A Car Alarm In A Chevy Camaro?
Classic and late models of the Chevy Camaro should have an alarm installed to protect the vehicle and its contents. Older models of the Chevy Camaro likely need a new alarm installed as do later models that are unprotected. Chevy Camaro models built after 1986 require a VATS bypass module for upgraded alarm systems that include remote start. Step 1 Read the alarm manual carefully and keep the support number handy for any questions that arise. Open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable. Connect the alarm power cable to the positive battery cable and run the wire along the firewall. Step 2 Mount the alarm siren in an open area of the engine bay, facing the engine to limit water exposure when driving in wet conditions. Pull the wire to the firewall and feed all of the wires into the cabin. Drill a small hole in the firewall if necessary.
