How Do You Install A Belt Pulley On A Dryer?
The belt pulley could be inside or outside the dryer, depending on the model. Most GE models are inside. If it’s inside, expect to spend an afternoon replacing the belt; if it’s outside, the job only takes a few minutes. In either case, all you’ll need is the replacement belt and a screwdriver. Unplug the dryer. Move the dryer away from the wall in order to get to the plug if the outlet is hard to reach. Take off the front bottom panel by feeling around the edges for holding clips. Some dryers have screws here rather than clips. Use the screwdriver to remove these. Set the bottom front panel aside and continue to remove the upper front panel and then the top panel in the same manner, feeling for holding clips or removing screws, depending on what make and model dryer you have.
