How Do You Install A Beadboard Porch Ceiling?
Installing a new ceiling gives a room or porch a brand new look. It can set off a room to make it come alive. The best thing about installing bead board is the ease with which it is installed. If you can control a hammer, operate an electric miter saw and use a nail set then you have just qualified for the job. To start the first row of bead board, place it at the top of the wall on the ceiling and face nail it in place. Set the nails with the nail set and fill with putty. Continue this process until the first row is installed. Make the first board of the second row a different length than the first board of the first row to achieve a staggered look. Install the tongue of this board into the groove of the first row. Drive nails through the bottom side of the bead board groove that the next board will fit into.
