Getting DSL installed in your own home will change the way you use your computer. But before your Internet speeds dramatically increase, you must install the modem first, and the 2Wire DSL modem is easy to install. Unpack the modem materials. You should have the modem, power cable, LAN cable, phone cable and two to three DSL filters. Connect all the DSL filters to every phone line in the house. This is important because your calls can easily be disrupted if you do not have a DSL filter installed. Plug the DSL filter directly into the phone outlet.
