Adding neon lighting to the underside of your car was popular in the 1990s, but the allure dried up around 1996. Since then, neon has made a comeback, and as of late 2009 all sorts of people have a colored cloud of neon lighting running underneath their car, making it appear like the car is floating in the air. This is not a difficult process, but to achieve the correct effect you must have the light bulbs hidden, just to show the glow. Lift up the vehicle using the jack and place it on jack stands. Make sure the vehicle is secure before you crawl underneath it. Pop the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery using an open-end wrench.
