There are hundreds of symbols and special characters that can quickly be inserted into your Word document. Start Microsoft Word and open an existing document from your files or start a new document. Click to place your cursor in the document where you want to insert a special symbol. Choose the “Insert” menu, and click “Symbol” to open the “Symbol” dialog box.
