How Do You Insert A Screw In A Concrete Wall?
There are specially designed screws that allow you to install the screw directly into concrete. The screws require a pilot hole, and when you run the screws into the concrete, they create their own threads. Concrete self-tapping screws have either a Phillips head or a hex head. A hex head concrete screw has the greatest amount of contact area and is therefore easier to thread into the concrete. Insert the masonry bit included with the concrete screw kit into the hammer drill. Read the instructions with the concrete screw kit to determine the depth needed for the concrete screw. Set the depth gauge to the depth specified by the concrete anchor kit. Secure the depth gauge. Align the drill bit with the point on the concrete wall where you require the screw, wearing your safety glasses. Drill the hole into the concrete. Stop drilling when the depth gauge contacts the surface of the concrete. Insert the hex head adapter into the chuck of the drill motor. Place the head of the concrete screw
