Start Adobe Fireworks CS3 and open a document that you want to import a bitmap image into or create a new blank document to hold your bitmap image. Choose the “File” menu and click “Import” to open the “Import” dialog box. Use the “Look in” drop-down list to browse to find the location of the folder you have the bitmap image saved in. Select the bitmap image file from the “Import” dialog box and click the “Open” button. The “Import” dialog box will close and your mouse cursor will become the shape of a half square.
