Adobe InDesign is a desktop publishing application. If you have two computers running different versions of InDesign, you may need to find a solution that allows you to share files between the different versions. Unlike other programs, there is no easy way to “save down” to an earlier version of the software. Instead, Adobe InDesign uses a format called InDesign Interchange to allow files to be used in all CS+ versions of the software. Export your files into .inx format and import them into CS2 using these simple steps. Open InDesign CS3. Open the file you wish to export by clicking “File>Open,” navigating to the file, and double clicking it. Select “File>Export.” In the file type drop down menu, choose “InDesign Interchange.” Click “Save.” Open InDesign CS2.
