How Do You Identify The Best Long Shot Horse Races?
Once the Belmont has been run to complete the Triple Crown, horse racing begins to refocus on the new crop of two year olds. Races just for these horses are held in order to find the best male and female horses for the upcoming year’s Kentucky Derby. From mid June to the following May, hundreds of races for these two year olds will be run. Many of these races produce some of the biggest pay offs in horse racing. Knowing what to look for is the key to some great profits. At the top of each race listed in the Daily Race Form is a description of the race conditions. It will list the type of race, age and sex of the horses allowed in the race and the distance of the race. Carefully look at these conditions and find those races that are for two year old males or females only. They must be in a “Maiden” type of race where no horse in the race, has ever won a race.
