How Do You Identify Diamond Back Moths?
If you’ve planted cabbage or other green leafy vegetables in your garden, watch out for the diamond back moth. Its destructive appetite for these crops has made it one of the most widely recognized and combatted insects in the world. Because of its widespread distribution and overexposure to pesticides, the diamond back moth was also the first pest to develop immunity to Bt toxin, making it tough to kill. Check the insect’s size. Adult diamond back moths average about 6mm in length and are relatively skinny, as far as moths go. Keep an eye out for the diamond back moth’s larvae and pupae.
