How Do You Identify ATI Video Cards?
The ATI corporation has produced a large number of video card models over the years, making it difficult to identify one of these cards if you don’t know what to look for. Knowing the card’s model number is helpful when determining if the system meets the requirements of a software application or video game, and is a necessity when installing or upgrading device drivers. Start by trying to identify the card through the operating system; if that fails, move on to opening the case and physically examining the card. Click “Start,” and then “Control Panel.” Double-click “System,” select the Hardware tab, and click “Device Manager.” Click the + sign next to Display Adapters to expand that category.
