In order to host a successful poker game, you need to make sure that you have all the details handled before you shuffle up and deal. Get confirmed numbers! You need to know how many people will be attending your game, so send out invitations, or call your friends or acquaintances, and get an RSVP from each attendee. Unlike other parties or social events, you will need the same number of chairs as participants. Also, you need to be able to fit the people around your table. If they can’t sit at the table they can’t play the game. This is a case when “the more the merrier” doesn’t apply. Have at least two complete decks of cards per table. Having two decks can help speed up the game–one player can shuffle one deck while another player deals the cards. Having two decks also is a safeguard in case something happens to one of the cards
