How Do You Host A Green Holiday Swap Party (Book, Game & Mystery)?

0

Swap parties are a great idea and the holidays are a wonderful excuse to host one! Here are some fun ideas on green swap parties. Invitations: One idea that I like to use year round is to re-use old Christmas cards that I receive. I open the card and tear it in half along the folded edge and use the 1/2 with no inscription. This side typically has the picture on the opposite side. Handwrite invitation with a note explaining what your green party is about since this is a relatively unknown concept. Another idea is to send out evites. Using paper invitations is not considered green unless they are on recycled paper but truly, the amount of processing and transportation in this type of product is not green at all. If you want to go nuts, you can make your own parchment paper invitations but that takes a lot of work. Example of an Invitation: Dear Guest, Please join us in for a book swap at my home on December 1st at 8PM. Each guest is asked to bring one book from their personal collection
