Home theater subwoofers provide an essential part of the audio palette–the lows. In home theaters this provides much of the essential bass information in the movie’s music, and the low frequency effects necessary for convincing sound effects. If you want to really take advantage of the lows, or have a large room, you might want to consider putting two subwoofers into the system. If you decide to do so, you’ll find that it’s not a difficult task. Connect a subwoofer cable to the “LFE” or “Sub out” output of your home theater amplifier or receiver. The output will be a single RCA-style female jack, located on the rear panel of the amplifier. Consult your owner’s manual if you have any trouble locating it.
