It sounds like you need an electrician. If you are asking this question, it’s obvious you don’t work with electricity. You will need to have a fused electrical circuit run up behind the dishwasher, and then hook the diswasher to it. Hire a pro on this and have it done right. Additional Details: You bought a cord? I am sure you checked the power requirements of the dishwasher and sized the cord properly according to the National Electric Code. You will still need to install a breaker in your box, run a wire from the box to under your counter, and install a recepticle.
