How Do You Hook Up A DVD System Through Cable?

0

The only type of DVD system that can always be hooked up with cable is a DVD recorder. You generally cannot hook up a DVD player through your cable box unless it has input capacity, which is not the norm. Alternatively you can hook up cable directly to your television, and you can hook up a DVD player directly to your television, and switch between both these two devises with ease. But the connections are separate. Turn off your television, cable box, and DVD recorder before making your cord connections. Plug one end of a set of RCA audio and video cords into the RCA output jacks located on the back of your cable box. Match the red cord to the red jack, the white (or black) cord to the white jack, and the yellow cord to the yellow jack. Plug the other end of this first set of RCA audio and video cords into the RCA input jacks located on the back of your DVD recorder. Again, match the color of the cord to the color of the jack. Plug one end of your other set of RCA audio and video cords
