Hooking up anything to TVs in this day and age can seem like an impossible algorithm –this wire here, that wire there. As technology gets more advanced, however, they have made things easier for the layman to figure out how to connect things to our TVs. There are still a lot of wires involved in connecting a DVD player to a DVD recorder, but it can be done. Turn the TV, DVD player and the DVD recorder around so you can see where all the cables come in and go out. Take the video out, “S-Cable” from the DVD Player and plug the other end of the cable into the “Video In” jack of the DVD recorder. Both jacks should be clearly marked on the back of both machines. Plug one of your HDMI Cables, which has an almost flat head, into the DVD player hole marked “HDMI Out.” Plug the other end of this cable into the “HDMI In” section on your DVD recorder.
