How Do You Hook Two 48-Port Network Switches Together?

0

A network switch is a networking device that will allow you to string together multiple computers into a single joined network. Where all of the ports on your switch have been used up, you can bridge the gap and continue to add additional computers to your network by connecting another switch to the first using a simple CAT5 crossover cable. This cable will act as an intermediary between the switches, keeping everything tightly connected. Connect one end of the CAT5 crossover cable to any available port on the first switch. Connect the other end of the CAT5 crossover cable to any available port on the second switch. Unplug both switches and wait 30 seconds to a minute. Plug both switches back in to restart the network and complete the connection.
