The couplings used on washing machine hoses are essentially the same couplings used on an average garden hose, insofar as the threads used to screw the hose onto the washing machine are the same on both. Wrap plumber’s tape clockwise around the threads of the male end of the garden hose. Insert the male end of the garden hose into the cold water inlet connection coupler on the washing machine.
