How Do You Hold An Embroidery Needle?
If you’ve never held a needle before, decide what feels most comfortable while embroidering practice stitches. Thread the needle. Grasp the threaded needle between your thumb and index finger. Work the needle in and out through the fabric or with an up-and-down stabbing motion, depending on the type of stitch. Try sewing with and without a thimble. You may want to wear one for certain types of stitches and not for others.
