How Do You Hit A Golf Ball Straighter?
Hitting a golf ball straighter is perhaps the most important aspect involved in improving your game. And the key to hitting it straighter often is a very overlooked fundamental in your swing. Go back to basics and begin with your grip. Too often, one hand will dominate the other and a stray shot will result. If you have a strong left hand, chances are it will pull through and cause a “hook,” a shot that travels from right to left. If your right hand overpowers your left, causing you to cut across the ball, a “slice” will result, with the ball moving from left to right. Neither shot is what you want or need. Work on your grip and make it “neutral,” where the left and the right hand work together and in concert to produce a straighter shot, keeping you out of the hazards and in play, where you can score.
