How Do You Hike Bush Mountain In Texas?
Located in the remote and beautiful Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Bush Mountain is the second highest peak in Texas. Because of its remoteness and steep heights, it receives far fewer crowds than Guadalupe Peak or Big Bend. Bush Mountain is also blessed with some of the best views in Texas. The trail is a loop, so a car shuttle is not required to make this hike. Plan to make this hike in 3 days, with a 6-mile segment each day. Carry all the water you need, since there’s no water resource along the trail. Drive to the Pine Springs Campground from the Guadalupe Mountains National Park visitor center off US 62-180.
