How Do You Highlight Hair With Bleach?
Every now and again we all need a little change to keep things interesting. One of the easiest and least expensive ways to liven things up is a do-it-yourself hair makeover. With a bit of care—and some bleach—you can give your hair a healthy, sun-kissed glow. It’s OK to be daring, because doing highlights at home is not as hard as you’d think. Mix the hair bleach powder and liquid according to the package directions, using the plastic spoon to stir it. Use cotton balls to put a thin film of petroleum jelly on the skin along your hairline so that no bleach can spatter directly onto your skin. Clip back the hair you will not be highlighting. Use the rat-tailed comb to pick up small sections of hair in a weaving motion, not in clumps.
