How Do You Hide The Wires For Home Entertainment Speakers?
Many people love their home entertainment systems but consider visible wiring unattractive. The simplest solution for hiding wires involves plastic channel molding, available online or at most larger hardware stores. The molding can be painted and comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate nearly any installation. Measure the length of speaker wire you want to conceal. Use the shears to cut a piece of channel molding that length. Separate the cover and channel base into two pieces by unsnapping one from the other to make the cut easier. Peel off the adhesive backing of the channel molding, and insert the wire into the channel by pressing the cabling into the slit. Using a dull paint scraper or butter knife is a good way to prevent cuts while inserting the wire. Snap the wire channel’s cover over the installed channel base. Slide the cover along the base, and press fit the cover until secure.
