How Do You Hide A Wall Phone Jack With A Window Seat?
Wall phone jacks can be unsightly in a cozy living room or bedroom. Covering them up is a challenge, particularly if they are under a window. A major problem in hiding a wall phone jack is that it has to be assessable in case there is a problem with the phone line. A window seat can cover up the phone jack, help provide an even cozier atmosphere, and create extra storage. Measure the length from the floor to the bottom of the phone jack, the length of the phone jack, and the length from the end of the window sill to each side of the floor jack. Mark those same measurements on the ½ inch piece of 19 inch high plywood and cut a hole for the phone jack with the jig saw. This is similar to cutting a hole in sheetrock for a light switch plate.
