How Do You Help Asian Tsunami Victims?
The largest earthquake in the world since 1964 struck in December 2004, and over one hundred thousand people have been killed by deadly tsunami waves. In what is perhaps the greatest disaster of our lifetime, it is incumbent on everyone to do what they can to help those less fortunate who are coping with the after-effects of this tragedy. Donating money is probably the most effective way to assist with this tragedy. While food or blankets may be what the victims need, it is not practical to transport these items around the world in small quantities. Money can be easily transferred by aid agencies to where it is needed most. Visit the website of aid organizations. Follow the instructions on the site to make a donation using your credit card or debit card. Join us at eHow in donating. We have chosen to donate our money to two organizations: The American Red Cross and Oxfam’s Asia Earthquake Fund.
