Friends are the ones there for the grieving, but how can you be sure you’re doing your job to its best ability when your friend is going through such hard times? It’s not easy, but there are ways to keep friends consoled in these sorrowful times. Be available at all times for your friend. If they need you to take a day off from work or school, do it! In the time of grieving, one can feel very alone. Keep your friend company and keep their chin up. Go to the wake and funeral. Be near your friend as often as possible or at least show your face to them so they know you are there to pay your respects. It will mean the world to them that you are there in their time of need. Be a listener. Your friend is definitely going to need someone to talk to about everything going on and you’ll want to keep your ears open. You won’t have to say much, but remember everything
