The scientific term for a fear of insects is “entomophobia.” A fear of creepy crawly things is one of the most common phobias seen in children. No parent wants his child to be afraid. However, you cannot always be there to chase away the “monsters.” What you can do is help your child conquer irrational fears. Read fun, age-appropriate books about bugs with your child.
