How Do You Help A Baby With Diarrhea?
Nothing stops the household from functioning as quickly as when the baby is sick. When he has diarrhea, you may be worried that he’ll dehydrate or lose all the nutrients that you so painstakingly feed into his little mouth. When the baby has diarrhea, the intestines are in spasm, and the way to help ease the spasm is by coating them with foods that are bland and easy to digest. Cut back on the green vegetables and the richer fruits you may be giving him and if you increase fluids to prevent dehydration, also increase the grains to keep him from passing all the water too quickly. Here are some helpful hints for getting his bowels back under control. Make chicken noodle soup and feed the noodles to the baby. Make sure to give her water, since the soup is salty. Try giving her bits of plain wheat toast. Try to tempt her with applesauce, banana and potatoes. Make some plain rice and offer it to the baby. Apple juice can also be offered, in small amounts.
