Sometimes (especially when heating frozen foods), it seems like DAYS that you are stuck waiting for your delicious microwave meal. Well, these tips help you to GET THE GRUB FASTER! Place your food in or on a permanent-type container (i.e. one that will not melt or disintegrate) such as a ceramic plate or bowl. Place a layer of clear plastic wrap around the plate/bowl such that at least two (2) inches of wrap extend over each side of such plate/bowl. Stretch each corner of wrap over your plate/bowl such that the seal is relatively tight on all sides. Heat your food in microwave. Depending on the wattage of your unit, you will likely only need only 1/2 to 2/3 of the non-wrap time to cook. REASON: with the wrap, you add TEMPERATURE and PRESSURE to the already-present dielectric heating method. In essence, you create your very own Pressure Cooker!
