How Do You Have Kids Use Watercolor Paints Mess Free?

0

My children love to paint with watercolors but most of the time it becomes a big mess. Even when I place their paper on place-mats the water rolls down the paper and on to my floor. And inevitably the water cup spills and black paint ridden water spills everywhere. After loads of trial and error I think I finally have the perfect way to set-up my children for painting with watercolors. Place a standard sheet of paper in a 13 x 9 baking pan. Place a small bowl filled with water in the corner of the baking pan. I use the little bowls that you get at Easter-time for coloring eggs. (Those little bowls are the perfect shape for so many projects and even make great little snack cups!) Place the paint tray at the top of the baking pan. Instant containment!! All the water and the paints stay inside the baking pan! When they are done painting you just take the baking pan over to the sink and empty out the contents.
