Some people enjoy collecting decorative plates as a hobby. Their colors and patterns can be very eye-catching and interesting. However, the plates are a waste if they aren’t placed on display. You can mount the plates on a stand, but for a more decorative look, you can mount them on the wall. Here’s how. Go to your local hardware or hobby store and purchase a plate hanger. The hanger looks like a square wire piece with springs on the back and hooks on the front to hold the plate. Hammer a small or medium-sized nail into the wall depending on the weight of the plate. Make sure you tap it in at an upward angle. Attach the plate hanger to the back of the plate by placing the plate into the two top hooks, then stretching to fit it into the bottom hooks. Now hang the decorative plate onto the wall. Adjust to center if necessary.
