How Do You Hang Aquarium Halide Lights?

0

There are many different types of lights to install in an aquarium. Metal halide aquarium lights, also called M.H. lights, provide a more intense light spectrum than other aquarium lights. They are especially useful for deeper aquarium tanks or tanks with an abundance of coral and plant life. Halide lights come in a variety of styles and can be attached to the lid of the aquarium or hung on the side of the tank. Select a location along the top of the back tank wall to hang the light. The center of the tank wall is the best position for the light as it allows the light to penetrate all areas of the tank equally. Hang the light on the tank by inserting the light clamp over the top edge of the wall in the location previously selected. Tighten the screw(s) located on the clamp to secure it to the tank wall. Move the lamp section of the light until it is at least 8 inches above the surface of the water. Plug the lamp in and turn the light on.
