Slatwall is heavy-duty paneling with grooves that are used to display products in retail stores. Slatwall can also be used to organize items at home. Slatwall panels are very heavy, and they get even heavier when loaded with items. It is important to hang slatwall properly. Measure and cut slatwall panels to fit the area on the wall that you wish to cover. Use a circular saw to cut the panels, which are similar in composition to particle board. Mark the location of the studs in the wall. Measure their location in relation to where you want the slatwall to hang, then mark corresponding vertical lines on the slatwall to indicate where to drill into the studs. Lift the slatwall panel into place on the wall and hold it there while you secure it with 3-inch coarse-thread drywall screws. Have at least one person help you, preferably two.
