How do you handle situations where the same data item plays different semantic roles in a model?

In TSER, we assume that all data items in the same application model will have distinct names. Thus, a way to implement the case is to define different names for the different roles of the same data item but then establish that they are all equivalent by using the equivalence facility of SER modeling. The different names will appear in all models created therefrom (OER, schema, etc.), but the system will interpret the models and generate integrity rules according to their equivalence.
