How Do You Handle Criticism In A Job Performance Review?
Criticism is hard to accept especially in a job performance review. No one likes to hear negative comments. We all think we are doing a good job. So, if you think the performance review is not fair follow the steps below. First ask yourself a question. Am I a moron? If the answer is no, tell your reviewer that you are very competent and that he/she is the moron. Let that settle in for a moment, and then go pack up your belongings and wait for security to take you away. If you want to keep your job, then thank him/her for his/her opinion, tell him/her you will try harder and then tuck your tail between your legs and go back to your desk. If you should feel that you are a moron, as your reviewer had pointed out, then let out a little wimper, cry out in front of your reviewer and tell him/her your so sorry you that let them down, and plead for one more chance.
