How Do You Handle An At Risk Teenager?
As a child I was a witness to a variety of events and as I got closer to becoming a teenager I was a participant in those events. Although I still had a good childhood, my teenage years were stifled with conflicts at home and at school. My social life was minimal and I had to make up for lost time as an adult. I used my experience along with education to help at risk youth. FIND OUT THE TEENAGERS’ HISTORY AND UPBRINGING: As a teenager I would get upset if people just assumed something about me without asking. When I was in 6th grade my grades started to slip and my mother and teacher had no clue as to why. So from what they knew at the time, I was given all kinds of “when I was your age…” speeches that were supposed to be the “after school special” motivational speeches to live happily ever after.
