How Do You Grow Potatoes And Plants From Potatoes With Sprouts (Eyes)?
If you are like me you have potatoes sitting around longer than they need to and they start growing sprouts. Well don’t throw them out let’s take those potatoes with them little sprouts coming from every where and make some use of them. I’m going to tell you how to take those unwanted potatoes and make new potatoes in your garden or a beautiful plant for your deck, sunroom, or your house. Take those old potatoes and get them out of the potato bin. Cut each sprout or (eye) off with your knife leaving about 2-3″ of potato or as much as you can. Dig a hole about 5-6″ deep and place some of the dirt back in the hole. Place your potato sprouts (eyes) into the soil. Cover with soil and pat the soil down with your hand and fingers. Keep watered for about a week if there is no rain. If you do have rain then keep an eye on the soil and don’t let it get too dried out, but don’t soak it either. If you soak the potato too much it will rot. Watch them grow. Potatoes make really beautiful plants. Yo
