How Do You Grow Peas In The Pocket Garden?
Growing peas in your home garden using the pocket method is so easy anyone can do it in any climate. You’ll combat drought, bugs, weeds and weather without any effort at all. Decide where you want to plant the peas. Peas are a cool weather crop so you want to plant them early in the year just in case they give up in the heat of summer. Last year our peas kept producing all summer in full sun so it is possible. Cover the planting area with hay and/or straw. If you don’t know where to get hay and straw, look in the yellow pages for farmer supply. Call and ask where you can get hay. We buy big round bales that are rotten and can’t be used to feed livestock. Sometimes all we have to pay is for someone to deliver them to our place. One big round bale goes a long way.
