How Do You Grow Passion Flowers Inside?
Passion flowers are a climbing vine. Most species of the passion flowers are tropical with dramatic, long-blooming flowers. Passion flowers are highly fragrant and use tendrils to cling to supports. In areas where the climate is cool, they are grown inside. They are planted in containers and trained to wrap around various forms of supports. Set up a support for the passion flower to climb. Tack a strong wire up along the side and top of a window. Make sure that the window has 4 hours of direct sunlight a day. Place the potted passion flower plant at the bottom of the wire. Drape the top of the vine around the bottom of the wire. Keep the soil moist in a pot with good drainage. Water heavy enough that the water flows out the bottom of the plant pot and into a collection container during the spring and summer.
