How Do You Grow Mullein From Seeds?
“Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we’re going to talk about how to grow Mullein or Verbascum from seed. Now Mullein is a beautiful small bi-annual or sometimes a perennial and it started by seed and it’ll grow in warmer climates outside. They’ll make it over the winter in colder climates; they have to be started every year. Now they make a nice small ground cover; a little bit larger plant with little white and purple flowers and they’re really pretty and they’re so easy to start from seed. Now you can start them right into the ground or into little trays or container as it really doesn’t matter and the easy rule of thumb is just fill it about two thirds full of soil and good potting soil is the best with lots of good organic material and then just sprinkle some seeds into the soil. Now you just want to cover that up, just maybe one or two inches and then you want to mist it real well so that it’s not going to have a lot of pressure on the seeds, it will just come out. Y
