How Do You Grow Hydrangea Flowers From A Cutting?

0

Hydrangeas are unique summer plants that produce large blooms that range from pale pink to deep dark purple. Although they are a fabulous addition to any landscape, they are rather pricey plants. Luckily, if you know someone that has hydrangea plants, you can tale a cutting from them and grow your own plant form that. Here are the steps to follow in order to successfully grow a hydrangea plant from a cutting. Find someone who already has a hydrangea plant. Sometimes you can find these in parks, but be careful about taking cuttings from here as it may actually be against the law in some places. On the hydrangea plant, locate a long healthy stem with no blooms on it. Make sure that it doesn’t have any brown wilted blooms on it either. You also don’t want to choose a newly grown stem, so try to find one that is fairly long. Using your pruning sheers, cut the stem as near to the base of the plant a possible. Remove any leaves on the lower half of the stem using your fingers. Plant the stem
