How Do You Grow Brugmansia?
Brugmansia is a plant also known as Angel’s Trumpets because of its large, trumpet-shaped flowers. The flowers of brugmansia hang pendulously from the plant, and the flowers of some species can grow up to 20 inches long. They are native to South America, and are commonly used in shamanic practices. They can grow between 4 and 6 feet in a container, and require a moderate amount of care to stay healthy. Plant the brugmansia in a large pot in a potting soil mixture that allows easy water drainage. These are usually mixed with pebbles to increase drainage. Fertilize the plant liberally at least twice per month. Use a balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer. Do not fertilizer the brugmansia while it is dormant during the winter, but fertilize it regularly through all other seasons. Keep the brugmansia well watered at all times.
