Aloe Vera is a common house plant that can be used to treat minor burns (including sun burn) Most people have a difficult time keeping it alive because they are too kind too it. With a few basic tips, you can keep your Aloe Vera plant alive for years. Most Aloes are succulents and are native to Africa. Aloe Vera is commonly grown as a houseplant (and outdoors in Hawaii / Southern Florida) The biggest killer of indoor Aloe plants is too much water (and allowing to freeze) If they are outside for the Summer, they can be thoroughly soaked when completely dry and allowed to dry out between waterings.
