Strawberries love full sun and plenty of moisture and they also spread quite easily. It is possible to get them started in a small space such as a child’s wading pool with very little difficulty. It is very easy to plant strawberries In such an unlikely place as a plastic wading pool, and the plants are excessively self-sowing so they will soon outgrow the pool itself and spread to your lawn. Puncture the bottom of an old wading pool in several places with a hammer and a nail to ensure good drainage. Dig a hole the same size, shape and depth of the pool.
