How Do You Grow A Morning-Glory Teepee?
A morning-glory teepee is quite easy to make, and is a perfect addition to any garden. When you are finished, you will have not only a beautiful decoration for your yard, but also a fun place for your child to play and a popular destination for local birds! Read below to find out how to make a morning-glory teepee. Measure out a circle approximately 5 feet in diameter in your chosen garden spot. Remove grass around the circumference of the circle in a 6-inch strip, leaving a small, child-sized space for an entrance. Plant sunflower and morning-glory seeds all the way around the circle according to the seed packet directions. Plant as thickly as you like, as you can always thin the flowers later. Water, weed and fertilize flowers as needed. The morning glories will climb up the sunflowers, creating a beautiful screen of flowers around the circle of sunflower leaves. Tie the heads of the sunflowers together when they have reached their maximum height, or the height you prefer.
