How Do You Grill Nut Butter Sandwiches In A Cast Iron Pan?
Nothing tastes better than a nut butter sandwich grilled in a well-used cast iron pan. By nut butter, I am referring to peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, etc. I am sure there are other nut butter options, but peanut, almond, and cashew butter (in that order) are my favorites. Use whatever you like best. You must have a good quality bread. My preference is a whole grains bread, but again, use what you like, but just make sure the bread holds well during the grilling process. Gather together your ingredients and utensils. You will need your nut butter of choice, fruit spread, butter, a knife, bread, and a saucer (to place on top of your sandwich while grilling). And, of course, your cast iron pan. Warm your cast iron pan under low heat because the heat will be going while you prepare your sandwich for grilling. There should be nothing in the pan at this stage, you just want to heat the pan for now. After two minutes of heating the cast iron pan, put a small amount of butter (a
