How Do You Grab A Spoon And Make A Ring?
Thought you were ready to toss out that old silverware? Not yet. Here’s a quick and simple project to do with the kids. 1. Look through your polished silverware and find a utensil that would be most pliable and after adjustments, fit around the base of your ring finger. Use the pliars to make the silver more malleable. 2. Allow approximately 2 & 1/2 inches for the “ring” and make sure the adult snips off the end of the utensil. 3. Take metal file and gently polish the end of the silver until there are no sharp edges. You should polish until you have a very smooth surface. 4. Place your hand on a flat surface and hold the length of the silver around your ring finger, gently bending as you go along. Continue to add light pressure, wrapping the silver around your finger. The design (maybe family initials) on the fork or knife should now be facing outward. You should be able to look down and see a lovely silver ring on your finger!
